Understated custom Mr. Blackwell. Okay, perhaps it is impossible as the color and “bling” belies our assertion. However, in the 1950’s and 1960’S Mr. Blackwell was at times understated and even modest. This gorgeous gown sits design on the cusp — immediately preceding the transformation to the designer whose pieces make a statement. Yet, here both the standard material, the fit, and the cut (including the full length sleeves) pays homage to his once modest designs. Beautiful Purple velvet dress by Richard Blackwell.
