1941 Korda “Thief of Baghdad” Necklace MRS Couture

Created for the 1940 film Thief of Baghdad, this necklace is one of Hollywood’s first attempts at merging consumer products with film advertising. Among the various  items available to purchase were extremely high end pieces of costume jewelry. A true piece of history and a remarkably beautiful one at that! 

Intricately detailed antique silver tone necklace. Featuring detailed carvings on both pieces with strategically placed blue and yellow rhinestones stones throughout. Golden artificial pearls can be found in the center. The piece has a small plate on the back with two numbers, one on either side of the words.
