1960s Mollie Parnis Gold and Yellow Leaf Print Cocktail Dress MRS Couture

Brilliant gold and yellow cocktail dress ensemble by Mollie Parnis! The set consists of a dress and cropped jacket. The dress is midi length, with an A – line silhouette jewel neckline, and is sleeveless. The fitted bodice gives way to a looser skirt with single wide front pleat. The jacket is cropped, with long sleeves and a jewel neckline highlighted by a bow. Five fabric buttons run straight down the front of the jacket. An additional two buttons are located just above the hem and near the princess seams. The ensemble is composed of the most amazing sunny yellow satin with shimmering light and deep gold details. The brocade fabric is whimsical, appearing to be a repeating pattern of trees and leaves in a mid century style that recalls the work of illustrator Mary Blair. Lined.
